Core concept
In algebra, letters like x, y, or n represent unknown values that we need to find or that can change (variables).
How it works
An algebraic expression, like 3x + 5, combines numbers, variables, and operations to represent a mathematical relationship.
Why it matters
Understanding algebra helps us solve real-world problems where we don't know a value but can represent it with a variable.
Key detail
Algebra is an important branch of mathematics, building the foundation for more advanced topics in later years.
