Practice and Revision - Real Numbers
Let us practise and revise what we learned about real numbers. Real numbers include rational and irrational numbers, forming a complete numb
Core concept
Rational numbers can be expressed as a fraction p/q (q≠0), including integers, fractions, and terminating or repeating decimals.
How it works
Irrational numbers cannot be expressed as a simple fraction, having non-terminating, non-repeating decimals, like √2 or π.
Why it matters
Real numbers can be represented on a number line, with every point corresponding to a unique real number.
Key detail
Understanding real numbers and their properties is essential for algebra, geometry, and higher-level mathematics.
